Hello!

My name is Jade, and I am the cake decorator behind The Iced Age. I enjoy working with clients to come up with a unique idea that suits the personality of the recipient of the cake. The more creative it is, the more fun I have. So in my book – nothing is too hard!

I particularly love making novelty cakes because it allows me to use my imagination . I have been trained by some incredible cake decorators across the country, as well as learning from my mistakes and trying out new ideas on my own.

I’ve been a Chartered Accountant since 2012, but found that my profession lacked the creativity that I yearned for… after all, “creative accounting” is frowned upon in most circles! I did my first cake decorating course in 2011 and from then on I knew I had found my passion. For a few years I settled for making cakes for family and friends, but in April 2015 I decided that if I was ever going to do this full time, I needed to start my own business – it was then that I started The Iced Age.

At the moment I manage to juggle decorating cakes part time while looking after my first (and only) baby. Doing a job I love is one of my ultimate goals in life, so with the help of my supportive husband I will turn The Iced Age into a full time venture in the coming years.
